Supported EmploymentSupported Employment is a program offered through the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation to facilitate the employment of individuals with disabilities into community integrated work settings. Services within this program include: skills and interest assessments, development of a specialized employment plan, benefits analysis, job development and placement, and job coaching.

Job DevelopmentEach individual has an employment plan that is focused on their employment goals. The Opportunity Center can then analyze the individual’s goals and best match them to jobs that meet their interests. Once the individual’s employment plan is set, the Job Developer from the Opportunity Center engages in direct employer contacts that match the individual’s employment plan.

Job PlacementThe Opportunity Center assists individuals with specific employment skills such as:

Job CoachingA Job Coach is assigned to support the individual to find accommodations needed to perform job duties effectively and efficiently. The Job Coach is an employee of the Opportunity Center and will work one-on-one with the employee at the job site. The goal of the program is to fade this job coaching support and to assure job retention and natural supports.
