Daily Living Skills
The primary objective of the Daily Living Skills program is to provide an avenue to
achieving a full and meaningful life for adults living with a disability. The program encompasses necessary soft skills for employment, daily living skills and
community integration methods to ensure that the individual will be successful
both at their job and in their personal life outside of work.
In this program, individuals with disabilities will learn every day skills
needed to maintain a job and lead a meaningful life through
both classroom and real world, community based experiences.
Skills included in this curriculum include; accessing community resources,
money management, boundaries and relationships, basic social skills, health and stamina,
safe technology use, hygiene and appropriate dress, home care maintenance,
nutrition and food preparation, self-advocacy, diversity/cultural awareness, public transportation use, and community safety.
